SERVICE SUMMARY:

57 MIDLAND is an accessible surface route that operates on Midland Avenue between Kennedy Station and Steeles Avenue.  All trips are scheduled to be served by low-floor buses that operate out of Eglinton division.

Service on this route is provided Monday to Friday from approximately 5:00a to 1:45x and on Saturday from approximately 5:30a to 1:15x.  Sunday service is offered every 20-30 minutes from approximately 8:00a to 1:15x.

On weekdays, buses operate every 6-7 minutes during the AM peak period and every 7-8 minutes during the PM peak period.  At off-peak hours during midday,  buses operate with a 11-minute frequency.  Evening service is provided every 12 minutes.  Two buses provide 30-minute service after 9:30p.

Saturday service is offered every 15 minutes, using four buses.  Sunday service is provided every 20 minutes using three buses.  Weekend evening service is operated every 30-minutes using two buses.

• 42 run -- This AM rush hour extra begins its service day southbound at McCowan & Steeles with a southbound trip on the 129 McCOWAN NORTH at 7:30a.  Upon arriving at Scarborough Centre Stn at 7:57a, the bus deadheads to Lawrence and Orton Park for 8:22a to serve a westbound trip on the 54 LAWRENCE EAST to Lawrence East RT Stn.  The bus is scheduled to arrive at Lawrence RT Stn for 8:47a.  The bus then deadheads to Lawrence & Midland and begins service on 57 MIDLAND northbound at Lawrence at 8:53a.  It does a trip north to Steeles and departs southbound from Steeles at 9:13a.  Upon arriving at Kennedy Stn at 9:46a, the bus goes out of service and returns to Eglinton division.
   
• 07 run -- This PM peak period extra begins its first afternoon trip with a service assist school trip southbound on Midland (presumably at Ellesmere) at 3:10p.  Upon arriving at Kennedy Stn for 3:33p the bus enters regular service and remains out until it completes its final southbound trip from Steeles at 6:21p.
   
• 08 run -- This PM peak period bus enters service southbound at Finch with a service assist school trip at 3:26p.  It arrives at Kennedy Stn at 3:56p and enters regular service until completing its final trip from Steeles at 8:50p.

• 02 run -- Upon completing its final northbound trip at Steeles at 7:50p, this bus operates as far south as Passmore, then this bus returns to Eglinton division.
   
• 51 run -- This bus enters service southbound at Steeles at 11:05a.  It remains in service until completing the final southbound trip from Steeles at 1:10x.  Upon arriving at Kennedy Stn at 1:35x, the bus deadheads to Scarborough College loop for the 2:15x westbound trip on the 354 LAWRENCE EAST BLUE NIGHT.  It does two round trips, departing Scarborough College at 2:15x and 3:45x.  Upon completing its final eastbound trip from Eglinton Stn at 4:30x, the bus deadheads to Eglinton division for 5:42x.
